Parent Education

School counselors are available to consult with parents about their children's academic, social, and emotional development. When there are issues, concerns and requests for more information that apply to the whole of the school community, school counselors can hold presentations or collect resources to be shared.

Understanding Your Child
Contemporary researchers across many domains (neuroscientists, cognitive biologists, psychiatrists, behavioral scientists, educators, clinicians, etc.) agree that human development is a complicated process occurring throughout the life span in reaction to various biological, physical/molecular, psychological, social, and cultural influences. While one singular comprehensive theory does not yet exist, understanding your child's development from a variety of perspectives can help you make sense of their behaviors and cognitive processing.
